You know the agents that your partner can contact safely. Your partner knows the agents you can contact safely. By giving yourself a single word that matches several words on the game table, you try to find all agents before time.
The game is independent, so you do not need any further expenses of codenames. If you want to use the word or picture cards from the other games but also for Codenames Duet.
