Once upon a time in a far-off land ruled King Diamor. He loved treasure. A local legend told the tale of a cavern full of Gold Nuggets guarded by a Dragon. However, to get to this Treasure Cavern, one first had to pass through the Diamond Grotto, where a huge Troll had made his home. After hearing about the priceless Treasure in these places, the King sent a message across the entire Kingdom: ‘Whoever dares face the huge Troll and the terrifying Dragon and brings me the most Diamonds and Gold Nuggets will be richly rewarded for their bravery!’ Will you be the hero he’s looking for?
At your turn, roll the dice of the Diamond Grotto. For each face with a diamond, snatch one. Watch out: when a Troll face appears, the dice is blocked, and you can’t roll it again. Each roll, you decide to re-roll to accumulate treasures or stop and add your loot to your bag. If all your dice are blocked, all the diamonds you gathered will be stolen by the Troll! If you manage to make both the Door and Key faces appear, you enter the Treasure Cavern. When you do so, grab as many gold nuggets as possible before the other players awake the Dragon! If they do, they will share your loot.
Troll and Dragon is suitable for 2-5 players aged 7 and up with a playing time of around 20 minutes.
